Guru Nanak's Free Kitchen Society

GNFK’s annual School Supply Collection is an event that takes place prior to the school year. This event takes place every year to ensure students in need have the basic school supplies needed for learning. The supplies that we collect from the community are pencils, pens, note pads, backpacks, and colouring books. These supplies go to children in elementary school who are in need. Prior to this event we call a local shelter within the community and ask which supplies are in demand. We then host an event to collect these supplies. Lastly, we deliver the supplies we collected and donate them to the shelter. This event is a great way to give back to the community and to help underprivileged children get the most out of school.
