BASIC TEACHINGS Gurmat teaching is imparted to the students of class 1st to class 12th standards in various schools of Punjab adopted by the Trust with the help of Gurmat Teachers. The gurmat teachers are appointed with the basic consideration that they remember all the FIVE BANIS and they clear the 2 years gurmat course through distance education as devised by Sikh Missionary College/SGPC. Main activities under this program are: Gurmat books are printed for class 1st to class 10th and provided to the students. Three (3) periods per week are allotted to each class for Gurmat Teaching. Examinations are held every six months (oral for class 1st to 4th and written for class 5th to 12th). RELATED ACTIVITIES UNDER THIS PROGRAM PHOTO EXHIBITION is held once a year for one week in each school. FILMS related to Sikh religion & culture are shown in schools. LECTURES on all important sikh festivals are delivered in school assembly. Children encouraged to do SEHAJ PATH. Completed 4500 paths in 2011-12, 4291 in 2012-13, 4347 in 2013-14, 4993 in 2014-15 and 6408 in 2015-16 . AMRIT SANCHAR - Students are made aware of the importance of Baptism (Amrit) with the result that more than 2000 students get baptized every year. Patit students are motivated to come back to SABAT SURAT by various means with the result that more than 3000 students come back to SABAT SURAT every year. CHETNA CAMPS (Saturday & Sunday) are held in Zones for class VIII upwards.
