Scottish Sikhs for NHS
The Scottish Sikhs have taken an initiative to fundraise for our NHS. This initiative is in the memories of late Ajit Singh (known to us all as Master Ajit Singh) and late Amrik Singh who passed away not so long ago to COVID-19. Both of these outstanding personalities raised thousands of pounds for different charities in their long-running carriers. An open-air exercise will start in Glasgow on Saturday, 30 May 2020 where the fundraisers will run or walk individually or with family members. Members of the community are expected to step out every day and contribute to the target of 2020 kms. No group running or walking with members outside the household is allowed. The money raised through this initiative will directly go to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Endowments, a charity of over 2000 funds for the benefit of patients and staff. Funds are used for equipment, patients' comforts and amenities, research, and training together with the provision of extra facilities and opportunities not available from government funding. If you are running or walking as a part of your daily exercise, please contact us to contribute your mileage. Every step counts!
