Siri Guru Singh Sabha is providing free groceries to people struggling with isolation and financial hardships during COVID-19. Navdeep Singh Jhajj, the director of Siri Guru Singh Sabha, says these supplies are going to residents who have recently lost a job, are immunocompromised, have special needs, are students, or face other obstacles that are preventing them from taking care of their most basic needs. Since starting their food drive two months ago, Siri Guru Singh Sabha has distributed 8,500 pounds of food to people's doorsteps. They have helped 194 families, a total of 708 residents, across Waterloo Region.
