Team Uplifting Punjab

Team UP, or Team Uplifting Punjab, is an organization started by several UC Berkeley students. This winter break, 5 UC Berkeley students will be visiting 3 villages in Punjab, amongst which are Awan Khalsa, Bara Pind, and Chone. These three pinds are scattered in the Gurdaspur and Jalandhar district. Our main goal this winter break is to asses and work with the students of Punjab from K-12. We will be preparing workshops to present to the various students about how to improve their English literacy by using Punjabi, how they can achieve higher education, how to pursue different career paths, and how to achieve a sustainable lifestyle in Punjab.
