We Are Sikhs utilizes tested television advertisements, an innovative website, earned media efforts, targeted digital outreach and community events to affect change. In 2018 the We Are Sikhs initiative was awarded the highest honor in the PR and Marketing industry - a PR Week Award in the category 'Best For A Cause'. A PR Week award is considered "the Oscar" of the PR industry. We Are Sikhs was also a finalist for a Shorty Award, which recognizes social media excellence, in the categories of 'Social Activism' and 'Multicultural Engagement'.
